One Kind Favour

Blind Lemon Jefferson (ca. 1893–1929).

In 1997 he was given a new headstone with the lyrics .. 'one kind favour I’ll ask of you, see that my grave is kept clean'  inscripted.

Under the pseudonym Deacon L. J. Bates, he recorded two spirituals "I Want to be Like Jesus in My Heart" and "All I Want is That Pure Religion".

Jefferson brought to us:-
