Blues Rags and Hollers Promotional clip for the release of the 'Blues, Rags, and Hollers' DVD featuring John Koerner, Dave Ray, and Tony Glover
This timeless LP would have to be my most treasured album, I played it day and night in 1966 just after Graham died. It went for a walk for 40 years, but has now return home.
The Blues Project featured a selection from young white blues musicians who hung around Greenwich Village in the early 60s. Dave 'Snaker' Ray, John 'Spider' Koerner and Tony 'Little Sun' Glover went on to form a trio and released 'Blues, Rags and Hollers'.
Dave Van Ronk achieved notable success on the folkblues scene and continued to record until his passing in Feb.10 2002 Geoff Muldaur formed the 'Jim Kweskin Jug Band'' with Maria D'Amato, whom he later married. Danny Kalb formed a band call 'The Blues Project'.
Dave Ray passed away in 2002. This year we bid to Eric Von Schmidt and Mark Spoestra.
Ian Buchanan committed suicide in Dec. 1982.
